Journey of Choice, Inc.'s mission is to provide supported living in a natural setting for individuals with developmental disabilities through necessary and natural supports. Through honoring the choices of the individual and providing for their safety and health, we aim to maximize their independence, self-esteem and self-determination to further their individuality, free-thinking, and freedom from institutional governance.

Journey of Choice, Inc.'s Goals Are To:

• Provide supports that allow an individual to reside in one's own home with the appropriate and necessary supports in order to remain safe and healthy in their home and their community.
  Provide assistance in choosing where the consumer chooses to live, with whom and having control over what happens in their home.
• Provide supports that allow the individual to achieve their potential in creating a optimistic and cheerful force in their community, a caring demeanor, a good reputation among their neighbors and friends and supporters, and to build a positive perception of one's self.
• Provide each individual the opportunities for choice making and active involvement in the development of a plan for their life, social development, recreation, personal enrichment, continued learning and the fundamental right of having a life that brings them pleasure that honors their choices and preferences.
• Provide parent and professional education about supported living as an option.
• Bring educational opportunities to the community for parents to become informed, educated and knowledgeable partners in the supported living services for their son or daughter.
• Offer consultation and training on parent-directed supported living.
